Visit of the Minister of Transport and Logistics of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia

We were honoured to welcome an important delegation to the terminal led by the Minister of Infrastructure and Equipment, Mr Hassan Houssein Ibrahim, and his counterpart, Mr Alemu Semie, Minister of Transport and Logistics of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. The delegation was accompanied by the President of DPFZA, Mr. Aboubaker Omar Hadi, and many high level officials of both countries. Our management team gave a detailed presentation of our infrastructures  and the many projects being undertaken in the terminal to meet the growing demands of all our customers and particularly our major partner Ethiopia.

SGTD DORALEH TERMINAL ACHIEVES CONTAINER THROUGHPUT RECORD

The SGTD Doraleh Terminal achieved a historic milestone in October 2024 by surpassing 1 million TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units) in just 10 months, marking the first time in its history. The terminal expects to reach 1.2 million TEU by the end of the year. This record reflects a mix of origin & destination (O&D) and transshipment traffic, bolstering its position as a key transshipment hub in the Red Sea region.
